Definition
This commission controls and administers the finances and properties of the Regional Synod.
Goals
Our goal is to put the Regional Synod on a stable and sustainable financial path in order for the various ministries to fully accomplish their mandates based on the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19.
Responsibilities
- the safety and insurance of finances, documents and properties of the Synod;
- the appointment of the CEO and other personnel in the office;
- determining the salary scales of ministers and office staff;
- the budget for the Synod and the various ministries;
- liaise with the Department of Home Affairs regarding marriage licenses for ministers.
Challenges
- To improve communication between the office and congregations;
- Increase the commitment of congregations to support the office;
- Protection of our properties against land invaders;
- Maximize the income value of our current property portfolio.
Projects
- We are currently in partnership with a profit company to develop our property at Decoligny.
- We also are at the initial stage of talks with another development company with regard to Betel farm.
