Rev. Phillip Botha, the director of Fresh Expressions South Africa, explains the services they render, especially to empower congregations to become missional congregations.

On 3 November the task teams Congregational Witness (http://witnessministry.christians.co.za/congregational-witness/) and New Faith Community Development presented an information workshop for the URCSA presbyteries of Kraaifontein, SA Gestig and Sarepta at URCSA Belhar-East where 32 people attended the event.

The purpose of the workshop was to introduce these task teams, their vision, aims and the services they render which are available to congregations.

The MSS (Minister in Synodical Service), Rev. Stephen Pedro, manager of Congregational Witness, gave an overview of the focus areas of these task teams, Rev. Gustav Meyer focussed on New Faith Community Development and Rev. Phillip Botha, the director of Fresh Expressions South Africa (http://freshexpressions.co.za/), focussed on the services they render, especially to empower congregations to become missional congregations.

Michelle Marais of DRC Gansbaai came to share the work they do as the Michelle Marais Study Centre, to help the children of the community to excell in their schoolwork but also to grow socially, spiritually and mentally.

It was indeed a blessed day and the leaders present asked that we must have more of these workshops in future, especially to target the young people of the congregations.
